The Texas Land Title Association, Phoenix 1 Restoration and Construction, and the Friends of the Texas Historical Commission have partnered together to present Real Places 2018. The event will include addresses by Texas Land Commissioner George P. Bush, Texas writer Joe Nick Patoski, preservation economist Donovan Rypkema, and others. Entertainment will be provided by Ray Benson (of Asleep at the Wheel) and the Peterson Brothers. The event seeks to draw awareness to the need for historical preservation in the small towns and big cities of Texas.
