Museum Exhibit or ProgramSponsored by the Museum of the American GI, this exhibit opens on April 7, 2017. The Museum of the American G.I. is proud to present its upcoming exhibit, Over There: America in WWI, a centennial commemoration of America’s role in the Great War. Join us as we explore American life before the war, its build up as the US recruited and equipped its soldiers, the efforts to fund the war effort through bonds, frugality on the home front, and life for the men and women who served “over there.” The exhibit will feature original posters, uniforms, restored trucks, and the only operational FT-17 Renault tank in North America! The exhibit will host special events to highlight the machines of World War I and the men who operated them.
