2017 FTHC Development Seminar: Elements of Successful Philanthropy

Staff DevelopmentThis Development Seminar is sponsored by the Texas Historical Commission through the Friends of the Texas Historical Commission (FTHC). The spring Development Seminar will focus on elements of successful philanthropy. The program is designed to teach volunteers and staff how to secure philanthropic support for their organization. The series highlights best practices and facilitates lively group interactions to help teach fundraisers how to achieve their goals. The Development Seminar Series is especially suited for small organizations with limited staff such as historic preservation organizations, small museums, County Historical Commissions, or other nonprofit organizations. The seminar will take place 9 a.m.–4 p.m. Feb. 16–17 in the South Conference Room of the Robert E. Johnson Conference Center located at 1501 N. Congress Ave. in Austin. The cost for full two-day registration is $400. Single-day registration for either Feb. 16 or Feb. 17 is $215. Limited space is available.
