Mary Jon and J.P. Bryan Leadership in Education Award

AwardsThe Mary Jon and J. P. Bryan Leadership in Education Award is given annually to recognize and honor the outstanding teacher in Texas. History teachers at the middle school, high school, and college levels are eligible. The winning teacher will be presented a certificate and a check for $5,000 at the Association's annual meeting in March. Any person may nominate any full-time teacher presently teaching history in a Texas school or college. Supporting detail may include the nominee's resume or vita, a list of activities and accomplishments, awards/honors, publications, descriptions of programs the nominee has created, etc. However, the letter and supporting detail cannot exceed seven pages.
