Colonial Life in Texas

Lesson PlanStudents will use primary sources to compare and contrast colonial technology with modern technology. Students will then watch the video In Washington Town and identify characteristics of a colonial town. After students have a feel for colonial life, they will examine the events that will lead to the Convention of 1836 in Washington-on-the-Brazos. In closing, students will create a flyer that will encourage others to live in Washington-on-the-Brazos.
