Landed Interests: Primary sources from the GLO to the Classroom

Speaker or PresenterTeachers are always looking for fresh and interesting primary sources to infuse in their lessons. The Texas General Land Office Archives and Records collection contains many one-of-a-kind documents and maps that meet this criterion. The presentation will include a brief introduction to the scope and nature of the collection, examples of primary sources available and how to access and use these resources in the classroom. Each participant will be provided a copy of the Teacher’s Guide, examples of primary source documents, sample lesson plans, and free maps!
